12 Step Addiction Counselling with Steve Ford
I work with the 12 Steps in a way that is grounded in my own awakening.
In extreme unhappiness born of separation, I began drinking. I got into recovery myself in 1995. I spent three and a half years working the steps, understanding the processes of self related to addiction. It was an unfolding that finally lead to a full awakening in 1999, a radical shift of consciousness that allowed a new kind of seeing – seeing as being sees, not as addiction sees.
With a background in outreach work, I then qualified as a 12 Step Addictions Counsellor. I started to work with people one-to-one and explore addiction and co-dependency issues in a way that relates from consciousness - a way of seeing the self, understanding and gaining perspective on reality, whilst continuing to live life within the self
Sessions are offered in a quiet relaxed space, working within a contemplative atmosphere to explore the self via the structure of the 12 steps – both as a support in life and a way to truth, awakening to a new reality.
12 Step Counselling from a more traditional and female perspective is also offered by Linda Smith >>
